Your Mom's Basement regular Richard Basey is writing up a whole month's worth of comics he loves. No hatin' on people's hard work; just pointing out the stuff he loves. Good ol' Richard Basey.
He starts off with some kind words for Sky Ape: "And that's SKY APE for you. No, wait, there are drawings, too. Good drawings. Rough drawings at times, certainly, but if pornography teaches us nothing else, it's that there is nothing wrong with rough, especially if it's energetic. Richard Jenkins' art has that. Energy enough to repopulate the entire panda population of the Los Angeles zoo between meals. Sure, it's not always the most technical or, like my prom date, the prettiest, but it's always fun."
Later on down the thread, he throws some love to Last of the Independents: "Steve McQueen never made a heist flick this fast and this dirty. Oh sure, you remember them being this ballsy. They weren't. Matt Fraction and Keiron Dwyer put together a comic book ballsy enough to not only knock up your sister and then leave her, but to call you up afterwards to ask you for a ride to the airport. There isn't an ounce of fat in the story or in the words. The art hits the mark it's aiming for every panel. A perfect heist flick on paper."
