Was absent-mindedly checking the stats on the site for December, and was a bit stunned to see all the hits for Planet of the Capes
until I realized they were hits for POTC3, which, of course, is for the second Pirates of the Caribbean
sequel. Thanks, Heidi!
More Best of 2006Pop Syndicate
has a few of their cats making with the Best Of lists, and Chris Cummings gives the nod to Rock Bottom:
"Tom Dare--an unfaithful husband and unwilling father-to-be--is slowly, inexplicably turning to stone and the process is slowly killing him. This subtle horror story utilizes the fantastic to depict how disease robs people of their dignity and sense of control, yet leaves room for both dark humor and hope."
Still Going Strong
H over at The Comic Treadmill
does his "Top 10 Comics I read for the first time in 2006" list, and Colonia
comes in a #2, a whisker behind Box Office Poison.

comes in at #7, and H says: "The funniest comic I read all year. It even inspired me to rent and wear a gorilla costume." which is also high praise, if you think about it.
H and Mag also work in Seven Sons
into their Twelve Days of Christmas
bit, despite it not strictly adhering to their rules. I love it when the fix is in.
in her end-of-the-year wrap-up, writes: "The 'Still Going Strong' award goes to AiT/Planet Lar, who put out a number of great books this year, including Shatter, Continuity, Rock Bottom,
and my personal favorite of the bunch, Seven Sons.
