You all are reading ign.com's comic site, yeah? An interesting mix of superhero work and what my pal Batton Lash calls the "New Mainstream," editor Hilary Goldstein has added a very compelling and content-rich voice to the scene.

Check out this link to The Dirty Dozen, a neat feature in which the same twelve questions are asked of comics notables. That hot link goes to my twelve answers.

Speaking of adding to the scene, The Isotope Virtual Lounge is one of my favorite spots to have a comic-centric dialogue. Yes, James and Kirsten are good pals of mine, and yes, I'm providing daily content so I'm all biased and ulterior-motivated and whatnot. But, still, look at the rest of these cats: Mark Ricketts, noted crazy man and prolific creator Rick Remender, currently tearing it up on Sea of Red, and Ed Brubaker, Jock, Maureen McTigue, Jay Faerber and five more serious folks all have something to say. In the Lounge area, more columns are even sprouting up, guerilla writers bringing their unique points of view to the masses.

It's like comics was waiting for James Sime to appear.

Getting pretty stoked about finally dropping The Black Diamond on everybody in June. Matt Brady talks to me about it on Newsarama. The interview features a couple of pages no one's seen before... Erin Schadt, that Comic Queen, offers up The Black Diamond as one of her picks in April, too. We're hitting on all cylinders with this one.

Neil Gorman does another of his frankly excellent Comicology Podcasts, this time talking about Sin City and reviewing Bri Wood's The Couriers.

Speaking of Brian Wood, Robert Chang over at ign.com reviews Channel Zero and Channel Zero: Jennie One: "Not content to just tell one story at a time, Wood often has two or even three narratives running simultaneously. He does this by overlaying media and news reports in caption boxes over the story being told by the illustrations and dialog. In some sections, two different broadcasts, the international news and the sanitized U.S. news, are presented side by side in addition to the central story. I had to go back and reread several portions of the book to take it all in."

Tom McLean over at Variety didn't much like Filler, but I was briefly tempted to put "...it’s not a bad read by any means... -- Tom McLean" on the cover. As usual, Mimi quickly told me to smarten up.
